Niamh Harris – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has banned gender studies programs at universities, with his deputy arguing that the area of study is an ideology rather than a science.
A spokesman for the Prime Minister said “The Government’s standpoint is that people are born either male or female and we do not consider it acceptable for us to talk about socially-constructed genders, rather than biological sexes.”
Lat month the Hungarian government issued a decree to revoke accreditation and funding for gender studies programs at the two universities that provide them in the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjen said that gender studies “has no business in universities” because it is “an ideology, not a science”.
CNN reports: According to Budapest’s prestigious Central European University, the government offered no public explanation for removing accreditation for their gender studies Master’s and PhD programs.
“In solidarity with Hungarian colleagues, we oppose this latest infringement on academic autonomy in the country,” said the university’s Department of Gender Studies in a statement.
“In the face of political moves such as this recent decision that mischaracterize and question the academic legitimacy of Gender Studies, we stress that the concept of gender, as a fundamental component of the human experience, has proven its importance in and across many areas of academic research.”
But the ban may not fully succeed: Central European University’s degrees are also accredited in the United States and the programs will continue to accept applicants.
Some see it as the latest attack
Even still, the ban is seen by many as the latest attack on democracy in Hungary. Last month, the European Parliament voted to punish Prime Minister Orban for cracking down on democratic institutions in Hungary, including the press and academia.
In a statement released before the gender studies ban went into effect, the Political Studies Association, an organization supporting social science research, said the decree “calls into question the Hungarian government’s commitment to the principles of democracy which are the bedrock of European states.”
The Political Studies Association added, “Gender Studies is an integral part of understanding the complexities of social interaction, the impact of policy, the dynamics of the economy and the extent of abuse of personal and political power.”
Hungarian students who have already begun gender studies degrees will be allowed to complete them, according to the prime minister’s office.
He will be labeled a fascist and transphobic. Even though he is 100% correct.
The radical trans/gender movement is not science. It is cultural Marxism, planned for decades and deliberately created to destroy relationships between men and women, children and parents, and families and society. Destroy biological foundations, replace “six” with “gender” to create “gender (biological sex) is a social construct” ideology, give it an air of authority be creating gender studies programs in higher education, give it a platform for dissemination and intellectual domination by hijacking education systems, shut down any critical thinking or questioning, recruit quack shills like Bill Nye to promote pseudoscience as science and voila. You have the chaos and confusion that we see today.

Being asexual is not a gender. It’s a lifestyle choice (being celibate by religious vow or choice) or just not being interested in sex or as a result of the deliberate reduction in testosterone levels using BPA plastics by the cabal to turn men into powerless, spineless, CUCKS. Now States allowing people to choose “non binary” on drivers licenses rather than male or female. How are scientific data by gender going to be compiled for medical research, insurance, any kind of scientific data? Forget risk adjusting based on sex for medical research or insurance rates. Forget tracking habits and preferences by sex.
Forget marketing based in sex. Even iconic lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret is being forced to allow men to be women’s lingerie models. And people are applauding them for being edgy and forward thinking.
Forget women being at higher risk for cervical cancer because they have an actual cervix. That will be considered transphobic. Now it will be spun as men can get cervical cancer. But it won’t be cervical cancer. It will be front hole cancer.
